Thank goodness for Trader Joe's and Care Packages!

My favorite grocery store in the world is definitely Trader Joes. Back at home in California, you can pretty much find them anywhere. They have a ton of selection with health food galore at a fraction of the cost that you could pay elsewhere. However, there are currently no TJs in Utah. There is one opening in SLC on November 30th, which I am excited for, but that is still a drive for me. In TJ's wonderful assortment, I have found that my FAVORITE SNACK EVERRRRR is freeze-dried bananas. They are pure bananas, no sugar or oil added, and they are crunchy because of the process of freeze-drying.
Yesterday, I was very happily surprised by a Trader Joes care package from my mother, including all of my favorites.

I am so excited to dig in! Some great snacking picks from TJs are the bananas, of course, dried apples (without sulfur), and almonds. Since I could eat all of these yummy snacks for days, I like to ration them out and have premade portions in little baggies for me to grab on the run! This is a great way to have portion control without even thinking about it, really.

Eco friendly/super saver tip: I use zip lock baggies a lot, especially in portioning out food. So, I always make sure to wash them and get at least 2 uses out of them. This not only saves money, but it saves the environment!

To dig into these yummy snacks and others, visit your local Trader Joe's.

Have a snack-tastic day!
